iPhone 11 Pro Not Pairing with Bluetooth After iOS 13.2.3 Update? Try These Fixes

If your iPhone 11 Pro suddenly stopped connecting to your Bluetooth accessories after updating to iOS 13.2.3, you’re not alone. While the update was meant to squash bugs, it seems to have introduced a few of its own. If your AirPods, car stereo, speaker, or other Bluetooth device won’t pair, here’s how to fix it.

1. Restart Both Devices

A fresh reboot can clear out random glitches that block pairing.

To restart your iPhone 11 Pro:

  1. Hold the Side button and Volume Up at the same time.
  2. Drag the power slider to turn it off.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, then press the Side button again until the Apple logo appears.

For your Bluetooth device:
Power it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

Now try pairing again.

2. Turn Bluetooth Off and Back On

Refreshing the Bluetooth connection often resolves weird pairing bugs.

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Turn Bluetooth OFF, wait a few seconds, then turn it ON again.

You can also do this from the Control Center.

3. Use the Airplane Mode Trick

This resets all wireless radios — not just Bluetooth.

  1. Go to Settings > Airplane Mode and turn it ON.
  2. While it’s on, restart your iPhone.
  3. Once it powers back on, turn Airplane Mode OFF.
  4. Go back to Bluetooth settings and try pairing again.

4. Forget the Bluetooth Device and Re-Pair

If you’ve paired this accessory before, the connection may be corrupted.

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the “i” icon next to the device name.
  3. Tap Forget This Device.
  4. Restart your iPhone and the Bluetooth accessory.
  5. Try pairing again as if it’s your first time.

5. Reset Network Settings

Corrupted network configurations from the update can mess with Bluetooth too.

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  2. Tap Reset > Reset Network Settings.
  3. Enter your passcode and confirm.

This won’t delete your data, but it will erase saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth pairings — so you’ll need to re-pair everything.

6. Factory Reset (Last Resort)

If nothing works and the problem started only after the update, a full reset may be your only option.

Back up your data first, as this will erase everything.

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  2. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
  3. Follow the prompts to reset and set up your phone as new.
  4. Try pairing your Bluetooth accessory again.

If your Bluetooth device has a reset button, reset it too for a clean connection.

Still Not Pairing?

Try connecting another Bluetooth device. If your iPhone works with others, the issue is likely with the original accessory. Reach out to its manufacturer.

But if no Bluetooth device connects at all, it could be a deeper software issue. In that case:

  • Contact Apple Support, or
  • Visit an Apple Store for hardware diagnostics.
