iPhone 8 Plus Has No Sound? Here’s How to Fix It

If your iPhone 8 Plus suddenly stops making sound—no ringtones, alerts, music, or call audio—it can be incredibly frustrating. The issue could be a simple software glitch, misconfigured settings, or, in rare cases, hardware damage. Below are the most reliable solutions to help you bring the sound back on your iPhone 8 Plus.

Flip the Ringer Switch

Sometimes the simplest fix works. Toggling the ringer switch can wake up the audio system if it glitched.

Flip the Ringer/Silent switch (on the left side of the iPhone) down to turn Silent Mode on (you’ll see orange).
Wait a few seconds, then flip it back up to turn the ringer on again.
