How to Block Someone in Mail on iPhone 14

Getting unwanted emails on your iPhone 14? You can block senders directly from the Mail app, so their messages go straight to the trash. Here’s a quick guide on how to block someone in the Mail app—and how to manage your blocklist later if you change your mind.

Block a Contact in the Mail App on iPhone 14

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Mail.
  3. Tap Blocked.
  4. Tap Add New….
  5. Select a contact from your list to block.

That contact will now be blocked in the Mail app. Future emails from them will skip your inbox and go straight to the Trash or Junk, depending on your Mail settings.

Block More People in Mail

Want to block more contacts? Just repeat the same steps:

  • Settings > Mail > Blocked > Add New…
  • Then choose another contact you want to add to the blocklist.

Manage or Remove Blocked Contacts in Mail

If you need to review or remove someone from your blocked list:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail > Blocked.
  2. Tap Edit in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap the red minus (-) icon next to the contact you want to unblock.
  4. Tap Unblock, then Done when finished.

This will allow that contact’s emails to reach your inbox again.
