iPhone 6S Plus Screen Is Black After Phone Dropped
Problem: My daughter dropped her iphone 6S plus yesterday – the screen is now black, will not turn on. When plugged into the computer will not trigger iTunes. Also – right after this happened the right upper portion of the phone is hot. I plugged the phone in today for 1 hour and tried a 30 second hard reset and nothing. Now that the phone is plugged back in the upper right corner is getting hot again.
Solution: It’s very likely that the drop might have not only damaged the display ( causing it to turn black) and the battery as well ( due to the fact that the phone gets hot). The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 6S Plus No Service
Problem: I have an iphone 6s plus with no service problem powermac phils replace handset cause they found it faulty under warranty but after 4 months the same problem occur with the replacement unit my concern now is it’s out of warranty already what should I do? I am contented at first because they give a new replacement unit just to last in 4 months and the service center just tell call apple.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to troubleshoot the issue by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Make sure you are in an area with good signal coverage.
- Try inserting another SIM card in your phone to check if the problem is SIM related.
- Restart the phone.
- Reset the network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps don’t work then this is most likely a hardware related problem already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 6S Plus Replacement Screen Stuck In Apple Logo
Problem: I changed my iPhone 6s Plus’s full screen assembly after I broke my screen. I made sure to buy a certified OEM assembly. I had to send the first one back because it never powered on to show the Apple logo. It just stayed in a dark barely backlit state. Today , the new phone assembly arrived. I put it together and turned it on, (I did make sure to disconnect the battery during this process). Now I get the black screen with the white Apple logo that never changes past that point! Also, it flickers on and off on its own. Constantly and never stops. While I feel like it’s a step in the right direction, it is not at all satisfactory. Nor is it a reason to return this new screen for another exchange. Clearly, I am missing something! I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and look forward to your guidance in completing this iPhone repair so I can once again enjoy my iPhone 6s Plus!
Solution: Try forcing a restart on your phone by following the steps listed below.
- Press and hold the Home button.
- While holding the Home button, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.
- Continue holding both buttons for about 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the issue persists then try checking if the screws holding the LCD bracket are in their correct locations. These screws have different lengths and placing a screw on a wrong location can cause this problem.
In case the issue persists then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 6S Plus Not Turning On
Problem: i cracked my phone screen two months ago but it was fine , last week i was in the shower and my phone was in the bathroom but it was under a towel so it wouldn’t get wet or anything but as soon as i got out the bathroom my screen first turned different colors then went completely black but my alarm was going on and it was still vibrating so i immediately turned it off and put it in a bag of rice for a day, when i got my phone out the rice it still wasn’t turning on so i reset it by holding down the home button and power button and nothing happened, what should i do ?
Solution: You should try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes. If it still does not turn on then moisture might have entered the phone and damaged some components. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 6S Plus Not Starting After Hard Reset
Problem: My iPhone 6s plus won’t start after hard reset. It was laggy and all my photos have mysteriously disappeared from photos and I checked the memory, I was left with about 88mb of memory. My iPhone is 128GB model. I managed to update the iPhone 6s Plus to iOS 11. It was functional for a few hours but when power was plugged in, it restarted but was stuck in this restart loop (white screen black Apple logo). The screen would flicker for a moment and the white screen comes back on. This has been going on for the past 7 hours. Is there a fix? Thank you very much.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to try to restore the phone in DFU mode using iTunes.
- Place the phone in DFU mode. Hold the Power Button (3 secs), Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs), Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs), Your device should prompt with the “Connect to iTunes Screen”
- Connect the phone to your computer then open iTunes.
- Follow the on screen instructions to restore your phone.
In case the issue still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
