Design: As mentioned, Apple changed the look of the Reminders App on iOS with an entirely new ways to organize while at the same making it easier and convenient to use.

The new Reminders App has four Reminder sections: Today, Scheduled, All and Flagged Section. These puts and incorporates all of the reminders on your lists making it visible to be able to everything at once in a single view.

In Today section, this is where the reminders are listed that should be addressed to immediately, while on the Scheduled section where reminders are attached with dates thereby going through them according to a specific date for that particular reminder. With the All section is used for viewing all reminders at once, and then finally the Flagged section used to separate the reminders by placing a flag on it.

If you’ve linked your mail on your iPhone, reminders from your mail will also appear on the Reminders App.

Customization: A new customization options are now available on the new Reminders app on iOS 13. There are more additional colors and hues to choose from according to your own personal preferences. You have the option to color code your lists. And aside man that, new icons are available as well to assign for each list. That way organizing and using the Reminders App can be fun too.

Steps on how to customize:

  1. Launch the Reminders app from the Home Screen
  2. Tap the Reminders list created under My Lists.
  3. Tap on the Ellipsis button, 3 dots located in the upper right corner of the screen.
  4. Then Tap on Name & Appearance.
  5. Choose your desired colors from the choices.
  6. Change name if necessary.
  7. Tap Done to apply new changes.

Another alternative step to change its appearance is by simply tapping Edit from the main Reminders screen, tap on the info (“i”) button, choose from the reminders list you want to make changes in appearance, then tap Done to apply the changes.

Grouping Reminders: At times we are overwhelmed by having a lot of lists of reminders that are listed separately. But with iOS 13, grouping them into a single title or heading can be of great help. For instance, create a group name Shopping for list of reminders such as groceries, drugstore, a list of toiletries and accessories or can even make a list of your favorite shopping store. Segregate and combining them for a much better organization of your reminders list.

How to group several list into  a single title:

  1. Launch the Reminders app from the Home Screen
  2. Tap on Edit in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on Add Group located at the lower left corner of the screen.
  4. Tap Done to apply  new changes.

Improvements with Siri:  A new and improved Reminders App plus adding Siri unto the list of improvements as well. An enhanced Siri basically means that a more descriptive and longer sentences whereby Reminders is able to understand and can provide suggestions relative to the reminder.

With the above mentioned new features of Reminders app hoping that more users will take an in-depth look of this newly rebuilt app rather than using a third-party app.
