iPhone 7 Screen Went Black After Getting Wet
Problem: my son got into hot tub with my phone in his pocket. he said it was in water for under 30 seconds. he jumped out and tried turning the phone off but before he could swipe the off switch on screen the screen went black. i put it in rice for 4 days.then i pulled the screen out to see if it was dry inside and it was. i took the motherboard and charge board out and cleaned out any sediment i found. still nothing. my friend gave me one of their old iphone 7 they had and it turned on so i know it worked. i switched out the charge board for the one in my fone. still nothing. any ideas what else i can do. theres pics and stuff of my mom before she died that did not get backed up. that will really suck to lose them. thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer
Solution: There’s a possibility that the battery of your phone has become damaged. Try replacing the battery of your phone but use its own motherboard. In case the phone still does not turn on then you will need to have this checked at an Apple Store.
iPhone 7 Screen Randomly Freezes
Problem: Touch screen randomly works and freezes. restart will solve problem most of the time, however screen will not respond after 5 seconds to several minutes or hours. After setting up the phone as new, it will work for 12 to 16 hours without problem, then will start cycle all over again. Occasionally, the screen will ghost dial the phone or open different apps randomly. After screen touch freezes it will become operational after several minutes, or after turning phone off and turning on with home button. Almost seems processor is busy doing other things and makes the touch screen wait. Phone has not been dropped, screen is intact. All other functions work, if phone rings, I can’t answer due to touch screen issues. all buttons work normally. Sometimes I have to restart phone 8 to 12 times before touch screen works again. IOS 11.4
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then restore the phone to its original factory condition. Make sure to set up the phone as a new device. Do not install any apps in your phone once this is done instead try to check first if the issue still occurs.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to bring the phone to the nearest Apple Store and have it checked.
iPhone 7 Screen Stuck In Portrait Mode
Problem: My iphone 7 128 gb was water damaged few days ago. As i got it out from freshwater lake the phone power was on and screen did display. I switched off the phone immediately and send it to local service centre for dry up. The phone did switch on after the service and all functions are working properly including screen orientation. Home button, camera, flash light, all apps, battery back up all working fine. Even the speakers and mic is working fine. Suddenly after 2 days the the screen orientation is stuck on portrait mode and wont switch to landscape. It was working after the accident and suddenly it stop responding. I did play a game in landscape mode with screen tilt. after the accident but now it does not respond. Is it a problem with motherboard or logic board ?? I also checked the censors for orientation it is in proper condition. Please advise what to do about it !! It was in water trapped in a plastic bag for roughly 45 mins
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the portrait orientation lock is turned off. You can switch this off from the control center. If it is already off and the issue persists then try to restart the phone. As soon as the phone turns on check if the problem still persists. If it does then you will need to have this checked at an Apple Store.
