Apple iPhone 7 Plus Will Not Turn On
Problem: My iPhone will not turn on, after being charged as well as after doing a soft reset and holding down the buttons. I brought it to the Apple store and they said there is no power running through the phone. I am worried because I do not want to lose anything that I have on this phone, as it has not been backed up in about a year. Do you have any insight?
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Charge the phone for at up to an hour using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- If the phone does not turn on then you need to have this repaired at a service center.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus Does Not Charge
Problem: everything work fine when away from home (Apple store says everything is fine), however, it will not charge at home. We have tried multiple chargers, battery power, computer charging, car charging – everything. All methods work with other iphones in the family. Seems to charge when wifi is turned off, but not always. The apple store suggested swapping it out, but I don’t want to pay the $300+ to do so. It seems like a software issue. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Solution: The best way to check if this is a software related issue is to restore your phone using iTunes then set it up as a new device. In case the issue still occurs after this then it is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
