  1. Power off your modem/wireless router by pressing the Power button until it turns off completely.
  2. Unplug or remove the power cord from the power source.
  3. Leave it unplugged for at least 30 seconds.
  4. After the elapsed time, plug it back in then turn on.
  5. Wait until all the lights on the modem or router becomes stable. A green or yellow light usually means good while red lights usually denotes something wrong. Lights have to be either green or yellow depending on the network equipment type in use.

After you power cycled the modem/router, reboot your iPhone 6s Plus by pressing the Power button until the slide to power off screen appears, then drag the slider to power off the device completely. After a few seconds press the Power button again to turn the iPhone back on.

Second workaround: Check for carrier settings update available on your iPhone 6s Plus.

Follow these steps to properly remove and re-install SIM card on your iPhone:

  1. Locate the SIM tray on the left side of your iPhone right beneath the Power button.
  2. Use a small paper clip or SIM card ejector tool into the small hole at the bottom of the SIM tray to eject.
  3. Gently pull the SIM tray out then remove the SIM card from the tray.
  4. Carefully check the SIM card for any signs of possible damage like scratches or dents. If there’s none, place it back into the SIM tray. Be sure to position the SIM card correctly, the same way before you removed it from the tray.
  5. After securing the SIM card in place, put the SIM tray back in.

Turn your iPhone back on afterwards. Give it some time to operate normally. If the message still pops up, try some other applicable workarounds.

Fourth workaround: Reset network settings on your iPhone 6s Plus.

Considering the possibility that this error is related to your network services, resetting the network settings on your device might be the key to fixing it. But then you should note that a network settings reset will also erase all your network information including your wireless networks, passwords, and server settings. On the positive note, this method can also offer a resolution. If you wish to give it a try, then make sure you take note of your wireless network credentials especially Wi-Fi passwords as you will be needing this information when reconnecting to the network afterwards. Follow these steps when you’re all set:

  1. Tap Settings from Home.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Reset.
  4. Scroll to and tap Reset Network Settings.
  5. If prompted, enter your passcode to continue.
  6. Tap Reset Network Settings again to confirm action.

When the network settings reset completes, your iPhone will reboot. You will then noticed that the network settings are restored to factory defaults. This means the need for you to set up and connect to your wireless network again.
