How to set emergency alerts on your iPhone 7 Plus

Any iPhone owners in the United States can receive emergency and AMBER alerts on their device. These types of alerts can be received in the event of an emergency.   1. My I Phone 7plus will not alert me for new emails. I’ve tried different ways to change it per the messages on the different forums but none work. My iPhone is updated to the most recent iOS 10.3.1. Please help
