“while restoring the device on itunes it give me error 53 while verifying the software .. regards”
“I have an error 53 in my iphone6 when i restore it and now its in itune mode”
“hi there, ihave problem with my iphone 6. it started when i replace the screen and home button, after that my phone keep searching signal event without sim card on it. after that i try to update the ios via itunes and i got the update process not finish yet and come out notification error 53, after that there is red itunes logo on my screen. can you help me solve this problem please”
The common denominator between the three issues is that the error occurs during the update using iTunes process.
The first thing you need to do is to isolate the charging cable as this causes the problem is some cases. Replace the charging cable with a new one then connect the phone to a different USB port in the computer.
Next, visually inspect the charging port of your phone for any signs of dirt or lint. If you spot any then clean it using compressed air or cotton dipped in alcohol.
If the problem still persists at this point then the most likely cause (99% of the time) is a defective cable that connects your phone Touch ID scanner to the motherboard. This cable usually gets damaged if your phone has a history of repairs such as getting a screen replacement or charging port. When your phone was opened for repair the technician may have accidentally damaged the cable. This is the reason why the restore process does not complete.
To repair this you need to bring your phone to an authorized service center and have the cable replaced.
Some owners who love to tinker around with devices do the replacement themselves. If you want to do it yourself then just make sure you have the right set of tools with you. You may want to check out some YouTube videos on how to replace the cable so as to guide you in the process.
That is how to fix the error 53 issue on an iPhone 6. We do hope we have helped you guys with your issues. Stay tuned for more troubleshooting guides regarding the iPhone which we will feature.
