With the iPhone 5c failing to build traction in the market, one would think that Apple wouldn’t want to go down that path again. However, that’s not the case if a new report is anything to go by.
It is being suggested that Apple is gearing up to launch a new model of the iPhone called the iPhone 7c, packing a plastic exterior and a 4 inch display panel. This model will supposedly be revealed by the first quarter of 2016. It is believed that Apple will partner with AUO for the production of the 4 inch panels required by the iPhone 7c.
Although Apple has shifted to 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhones since last year, there’s no denying that there’s still a market for the smaller iPhones. But those looking to get their hands on such a model will seemingly have to wait until next year.
The interesting bit of info here is that the iPhone 7c will supposedly start shipping in Q1 2016, which is slightly odd as Apple usually schedules its iPhone launch during the September-October timeframe every year.
Do you see any credence to these rumors? Sound off below.
