Although #Apple is gearing up to release the second generation Watch OS for the #AppleWatch, there won’t be any hardware released this year. A new report is telling us that the Cupertino giant might not release the Apple Watch 2 until the middle of 2016 or perhaps even later in the year. This makes sense as a yearly refresh cycle for smartwatches doesn’t quite make sense since they tend to last longer than smartphones.
This report from a renowned source also claims that the Apple Watch 2 will sport a thinner form factor compared to the predecessor, which in turn should mean that the weight will be reduced to a great extent. It has earlier been rumored that the new Apple Watch will come with a FaceTime camera for video calls and some other nifty features to truly make it an upgrade from the first gen model.
But since the wearable won’t break cover until at least 2016, a lot can change by then. What would you like to see with the second gen Apple Watch? Share your thoughts with us.
