If you are a fan of high speed anything, then you are going to love the new Huawei Ascend P2. This is because the company says that this is the fastest smart phone that the world has ever seen. At a press event at the Mobile World Congress, Richard Yu, head of Huawei’s consumer business group, announced the new smart phone. Richard Yu also said that the smart phone would be liked by the ladies. Mad Shrimps writes:

Showing off the phone at a press conference at Mobile World Congress, Richard Yu, head of Huawei’s consumer business group, said the new phone can be programmed to display more than 100 different “themes” or looks.

According to AP, in a face palm moment, Yu said that this was important because “ladies like flowers, colorful things”.

That surely is a face palm moment. Anyway, the new smart phone, the Huawei Ascend P2, comes with a 4.7 inch touch screen and will be sold for $525 without any contract. And the best part is, the smart phone does not come with the world’s fastest mobile processor, but it offers the fastest download speed. This is because of the company’s very advanced LTE equipment.

Huawei has a good brand name in the Europe. In fact, France’s Orange has partnered with the smart phone manufacturer to offer its customers Huawei’s latest smart phones. But this does not seem to be the case with the United States. The people in the United States have decided not to use Huawei smart phones because they suspect Chinese manufacturers to have built in a backdoor into the device to get access to the country’s private data.

The Chinese government has, obviously, called this a false allegation and has said that this is just a gimmick that the United States is using to stop the Chinese people from making business in the United States market. So the bottom line is, we may not see the Huawei Ascend P2 hit the shores here in the US.
