All installed apps are lined up on a single Home screen on the watch so access to any of these apps is effortless.
Most of the new third-party apps for the Apple Watch are available from the App Store via one-time purchase. Some are free but with in-app purchases.

Easy Steps to Download and Install Apps on Apple Watch 7 in watchOS 8
There are different ways for you to download and install new apps on your Apple Watch. You can use either the Apple Watch App Store or it’s paired iPhone. The following steps depict both methods.
These steps are also applicable when downloading and installing new apps on other Apple Watch series that have the same watchOS version with the Watch 7 variants.
Actual screens and menu options may vary between device models but the overall procedure is likely the same.
Adding New Apps via Apple Watch’s paired iPhone
The following steps show how to get new apps using the iPhone that’s paired with the Apple Watch.
Before you proceed, verify and ensure that your Apple Watch is paired with the correct iPhone. Also ensure that your devices have a stable access to the internet (preferably via Wi-Fi) and have sufficient battery life. Ample storage is also a requisite.
Also note that not all apps are supported or available in all regions. That said, some apps may not show up in the App Store or on your Home screen.
Once you’ve got everything set, you may proceed with these steps.
Step 1: Open the Watch app on your iPhone to get started.
Step 2: Tap to access the My Watch tab.
Step 3: On the My Watch menu, scroll to find and select the app that you’d like to get. All available apps will be displayed in the Available Apps section.
Step 4: Once you find the desired app, tap the Install button next to it.
Follow the rest of the onscreen instructions to finish installing the app on your Apple Watch.
Repeat the same steps to download another app on your Apple Watch through its paired iPhone.
Downloading New Apps from the Apple Watch App Store
Make sure your Apple Watch is sufficiently charged and connected to the internet preferably via Wi-Fi.
Please note that data charges may apply when using Apple Watch with cellular data.
Once everything is ready, just proceed with these steps to download new apps.
Step 1: On your Apple Watch, tap to open the App Store app.
Step 2: To browse featured apps, turn the Digital Crown or tap to select a Category. To view more apps, tap the See All below a collection.
Step 3: If the desired app is free, tap Get. Otherwise, tap the given price to purchase the app.
Redownload Purchased Apple Watch Apps
If you see a cloud icon with an arrow down next to the app, it means that you’ve already procured the app and therefore you can redownload it without paying the price.
Search for an App on your Apple Watch
There is also an option for you to search for a specific app. Simply tap the Search field located at the top of the screen and then type Apple Watch Series 7 only. Doing so will show up all apps available for the Apple Watch 7.
Alternatively, you can use Dictation or Scribble to type in the name of the desired app instead.
Browsing apps from trending categories is also possible. To do so, simply tap on a category and follow the rest of the onscreen instructions.
Select which apps to appear on your Apple Watch
All your iPhone apps are automatically available on its paired Apple Watch by default. These apps are all displayed on the Apple Watch Home screen.
Should you wish to show only the apps that you need on your Apple Watch, just access the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch and then tap General. On the succeeding menu, turn off the switch next to Automatic App Install. Go back to the My Watch tab and scroll down to the Available Apps. Once you get there, simply tap the Install button next to the apps that you want to install and make available on your Apple Watch.
