How to Turn On Night Shift on iPhone 14
Night Shift is a built-in iOS feature that automatically adjusts your iPhone 14’s display colors to the warmer end of the spectrum, reducing blue light and making the screen easier on your eyes—especially at night. Here’s how to enable it and use it effectively.
Enable Night Shift from Settings
You can set Night Shift to activate automatically based on time or manually whenever needed.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Display & Brightness.
- Tap Night Shift.
- Use the Scheduled toggle to turn it on.
- Set your preferred time range (like Sunset to Sunrise or a custom schedule).
- Use the slider to adjust the color temperature—warmer tones are easier on the eyes.
Tip: To schedule by sunset and sunrise, make sure Set Automatically is enabled in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Turn Night Shift On or Off from Control Center
For quick access:
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center.
- Press and hold the Brightness slider.
- Tap the Night Shift icon to toggle it on or off instantly.
You’ll also see options for Dark Mode and True Tone here.
Disable Night Shift
If you want to turn off Night Shift completely:
- Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift, and:
- Toggle off Scheduled, and
- Toggle off Manually Enable Until Tomorrow, if active.
Or, just toggle it off from Control Center as shown above.
