iPhone 6S Plus Screen Went Black

Problem: I bought a iPhone 6s plus and I dropped it cracking the screen all was fine until today when the screen went black so I plugged it in and it worked fine except I couldn’t see anything the screen sometimes flickers on when I pick the phone up then it goes black again the touch works though.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to force the phone to restart.

  • Press and hold the Home button.
  • While holding the Home button, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.
  • Continue holding both buttons for about 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

In case the screen still remains black then you should consider restoring your phone in DFU mode using iTunes.

  • Install the latest version of iTunes in your computer.
  • Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.
  • Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery-mode screen.
  • Choose the Update option. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

iPhone 6S Plus Not Charging Not Turning On

Problem: My iPhone 6s plus wont charge and wont turn on. I have tried almost everything besides taking it to an apple store. I have taken it to an AT&T store and they said they couldn’t find any problems with it. The charger i use works on other iphones but not mine. I have been trying to fix it for about a month or two and it just doesn’t work. Please help

Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in the port. Once this is done try charging the phone. If it doesn’t charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger.

In case the issue persists then the charging port or battery of the phone could already be faulty. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
