Below are specific topics we’re bringing for you today:
Problem #1: How to fix iPhone 8 reboot issue: phone restarts when camera is used
My iphone 8 keeps turning off every time I try to use the camera. it then takes to support.apple.com page but then once I plug it in to charger it turn on again and when I try to use the camera, the same thing happens. I thinks it’s because I got it wet. but then again the iphone 8 is supposed to be water resistant.
Solution: Water-resistance is not permanent. It can be compromised after dropping a phone, during and after repair, or even without apparent reason. At this time, water resistance on phones are a bit overrated so don’t be too complacent when your device is near water or liquid.
For your issue, it’s highly possible that the problem may be hardware-related due to water damage. If the only different thing you did before the camera started acting this way was to get the phone wet, the phone may have succumbed to water damage.
Try to wipe the device thru factory reset and see if that will change anything. If the problem stays after setting the phone as a new device, that means you have a bad hardware. In this case, you want to let Apple check the hardware so they can evaluate whether or not to repair or replace it.
For reference, here are the steps to factory reset your iPhone 8:
- Create a backup of your personal data to iTunes or iCloud.
- Open Settings app.
- Tap General.
- Tap Reset.
- Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
- If prompted, enter your passcode.
- Tap Erase iPhone.
- Set your phone as a new device and check for the problem. If camera continues to crash, call Apple for assistance.
Problem #2: How to recover data if iPhone 8 won’t boot up
My phone 8 has a broken home button and it stuck on “Press home to recover” screen as it cannot boot up. My files was not backed up either. So is there any way to recover the data?
Solution: Access to an iPhone’s storage chip requires two basic working items — functional screen assembly and operating system. A fully working screen is necessary so you can input your commands (touches) and navigate the user interface. And since navigating to your Photos app or any other app has to follow certain inputs, you also need to have a working software or OS. If any of these two things is not working, your personal data or files are good as gone. So, unless you can fix the phone first, there’s no way to recover your data at all.
If your iPhone 8 was set to upload your files automatically to the cloud and the device was able to save them before the phone was physically damaged, you should be able to get them using another device. If you have another iPhone or a Mac, try using it to login to your iCloud account.
Problem #3: iPhone 8 losing cellular signal, keeps saying “searching”
So I have had this problem with my iPhone 8…no one could fix it, occurred after ios 11 was installed. I had the phone replaced 3 times with refurbished with in the 6 months of purchase. Contacted Apple Care and they NEVER helped me and even when I gave them the data they wanted they did not get back to me.
Set appointments twice and they forgot to call me. They said it was something I was doing:( Finally I was finished and wanted to trade it in for an 8 plus…they said we will give you 200.00 for your 8! The problem started 3 months after I had it and it was their iOS that created it. The phone was 6 months old!!
I went to AT&T and bought a new phone iPhone 8 Plus. Didn’t have any trouble, then I cracked my front glass even with protector on it and went to an Apple verified repair store and they broke the button on the phone and said I could use the gray button that floats!!! That’s to long of a disappointing story…
anyway it began again when they gave me an iPhone 7 to use during two of the times the phone had to be sent back and replaced with a refurbished iPhone 8 Plus. The third time I had problems I went to AT&T and they replaced the phone with a new one. But having downloaded from the iPhone 7 phone twice my iPhone 8 Plus now is having the searching problem. I’m so glad to read that it is not only me! Since as one other person said I have 5 other iPhones and the iPhone 7. I had I gave to my secretary and she uses it for the business and she has had no problem. I’m pretty put out by the lack of care that Apple Care is suppose to be about. They really burned me and if their was any other service that was comparable I would switch in a heart beat. 5 phones, 2 iPads and 2 laptops it’s not an easy fix! Please tell me what I can do.
My new iPhone 8 Plus I have had just a few weeks and it is doing it and it’s very frustrating. Thank you! So glad I found this sight and that I’m not alone in this troubling situation.
Solution: We’re not positive if we understand your main concern here. If what you mean by searching problem is that your new iPhone 8 having trouble getting cellular signal, we suggest that you continue working with your network operator (AT&T) instead. While we’re here to help iPhone users, some issues like the one you are experiencing are better handled by particular groups. If your iPhones keep losing network signals or if you have poor network services with multiple iPhones, that does not look like a device issue at all. There must be poor network services in your area or your carrier’s services are simply poor. In such a situation, countless phone replacement won’t help at all. We suggest that you talk to your network operator and get an honest answer from them. If you can’t seem to get a straight answer from a regular phone agent, try to talk to a supervisor who may know something more about your situation. Anyone high in the support chain may also help so try to elevate the issue as high as you can.
Problem #4: iPhone 8 Plus speaker not working as expected
Hi guys. I’ve an issue with the bottom speaker of my iPhone 8 plus. its sound become bright with less bass than before I can not it become thinner but clearly it hasn’t it previous fatness and fullness I just compared it with the exact same model and I realized that I still have the problem I found it on iOS 11.4.1 but after Installation of iOS 12 the problem was still there it really bored me because I’m a musician and listen and watching lots of thing everyday and I realize it each time that i’m using speaker of my iPhone! what do I do? Is that a software or hardware issue? or should I change speaker of my iphone? not to say I’ve my iPhone for over a year now Best regards.
Solution: If you think that your iPhone 8’s speaker sounds way less inferior compared to the same exact model, then there must be a hardware issue at hand. We can’t imagine what kind of sound from the speaker you’re missing here but if you can’t fix the issue, even after doing a factory reset, you should consider having the phone replaced. Try to bring the phone to your local Apple store and compare the sound with another iPhone 8. If you can convince the store representative, they might help you with the replacement. Even in-warranty phone replacement may not be free so getting a new unit may still cost you something.
