iPhone 11 Pro Says No Service After iOS 13.2.3 Update? Try These Fixes

Updated your iPhone 11 Pro to iOS 13.2.3 only to find it stuck on “No Service”? That means you can’t make calls, send texts, or access mobile data—basically turning your phone into a Wi-Fi-only device. If you’re dealing with this issue, there’s a good chance it’s software-related, but it’s also worth ruling out SIM card and network issues.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to get your cellular signal back.

1. Restart Your iPhone

This simple move can often fix post-update glitches and refresh your device’s network connection.

To restart:

  • Press and hold the Side + Volume Up buttons.
  • Drag the slider to power off.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then press the Side button to turn it back on.

Check if the service bars reappear after rebooting.

2. Toggle Airplane Mode On and Off

Airplane Mode resets all wireless radios, which can help your iPhone reconnect to the network.

Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > Airplane Mode.
  • Turn it ON, wait 10 seconds.
  • Turn it OFF, then wait for signal bars to return.

For best results, restart your iPhone while Airplane Mode is on before turning it back off.

3. Check for Carrier Settings Update

Sometimes your carrier pushes out small updates that improve connectivity, especially after an iOS upgrade.

To check:

  • Go to Settings > General > About.
  • Wait a few seconds—if an update is available, a pop-up will appear.
  • Tap Update if prompted.

4. Reset Network Settings

If your network settings got corrupted or altered by the update, resetting them can restore defaults.

To reset:

  • Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
  • Tap Reset Network Settings.
  • Enter your passcode and confirm.

Your phone will restart and you’ll need to rejoin Wi-Fi networks. Test cellular service again once you’re back online.

5. Remove and Reinsert Your SIM Card

A slightly dislodged or dusty SIM card can also be the culprit.

Here’s how:

  • Power off your iPhone.
  • Use a SIM ejector tool (or paperclip) to pop out the SIM tray.
  • Remove the SIM and check for dust or scratches.
  • Reinsert it carefully and power your iPhone back on.

Check if the “No Service” warning disappears.

6. Do a Full Factory Reset

If the problem still lingers, a full reset can clear out any deep iOS bugs.

Important: Back up your data first via iCloud or iTunes.

To factory reset:

  • Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings.
  • Enter your passcode and confirm.

After your phone restarts, set it up as new and check if cellular service is restored before restoring a backup.

Still No Service?

Here’s what to try next:

  • Contact your carrier to check for outages or account issues.
  • Request a new SIM card, especially if it’s physically damaged.
  • Switch to eSIM if supported by your provider—it may help bypass physical SIM-related problems.
  • Contact Apple Support if the issue persists—hardware damage or a deeper iOS bug may be involved.
