First solution: Reboot or soft reset.

Soft reset or a simple reboot on your iPhone can do a lot of good things when it dealing with minor software glitches. In fact, it’s the very first recommended procedure to fix random device issues. Press and hold the Side/Power button for a few seconds or until the Slide to Power Off menu appears.
Drag the slider to the right to turn your phone completely off.
After about 30 seconds, press and hold the Side/Power button again until the Apple logo appears.

In case your iPhone screen is responding very slowly to the point that it seems frozen, you can do the alternate restart called a forced restart on your iPhone 8. This is how it’s done:

Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
Finally, press and hold the Side/Power button for a few seconds or until the Apple logo appears.

Second solution: Quit all background apps.
