How to Enable Air Quality Index in Weather on iPhone 14
This post will walk you through activating the iOS 16 Weather app feature that shows daily air quality reports on the latest iPhone series. Here’s a quick guide to enable Air Quality Index in Weather on the Apple iPhone 14 smartphone.
The Weather app on your iPhone shows the AQI measurement in a colored bar beneath the 10-day forecast. This information is also shown in the Maps app and can be viewed and accessed through Siri.
Checking the Weather on your iPhone?
To use the Weather app on your iPhone 14, simply launch the app through the Home screen or App library. You can also use Siri to immediately check the current day’s weather.
Just make sure that Location Services are enabled on your iPhone so that the Weather app will be able to get a more accurate forecast for your current location.
- To turn on Location Services, just head over to Settings-> Privacy & Security-> Location Services-> Weather. There, you will see relevant toggles. To increase the accuracy of the weather forecast in your current location, turn on the switch next to Precise Location.
Among the weather details that you can view through the iOS Weather app include the hourly forecast, 10-day forecast, severe weather alerts, news, air quality, maps and additional details such as interactive features.
The Air quality index data in regions/countries like Canada, Germany, India, France, Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, UK, US, Netherlands, Mexico and Japan are provided by BreezoMeter. For mainland China, the data is provided by QWeather.
The Air Quality Index feature in iOS Weather is only available in selected countries and regions to-date.
