How to Copy and Share a Facebook Group Link on iPhone
Want to invite people to your Facebook group or share it in a post, email, or message? On iPhone, getting the link to your Facebook group is super easy — and there are several ways to do it. Here’s how to find, copy, and share a Facebook group link in just a few taps.
What Is a Facebook Group Link?
A Facebook group link is a direct URL to a specific group. It usually looks like this:www.facebook.com/groups/YourGroupID
Anyone with the link can click it to view the group’s landing page. Depending on the group’s privacy settings:
- Public groups can be viewed instantly.
- Private groups will still show the name, description, and a Join button — but users must request approval to see content.
The group link stays the same, even if you change the group’s name.
How to Find and Copy a Facebook Group Link on iPhone
Method 1: Using the Facebook App
- Open the Facebook app.
- Tap the Groups icon at the bottom.
- Select the group you want to share.
- Tap the ••• (More) icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Copy Link.
The link is now copied to your clipboard. You can paste it into any app or message.
Method 2: From the Group’s About Section
- Open the group page.
- Tap the About tab.
- Find the Group Address.
- Press and hold the link, then tap Copy.
This gives you manual access to the link if “Copy Link” isn’t visible in the menu.
Method 3: Long-Press or Share Button
- You can also long-press a visible group link (like in a post or pinned section) and choose Copy.
- Or, tap the Share button and choose Copy Link from the sharing options.
Where to Paste and Share the Group Link
Once copied, you can:
- Share it in a Facebook post or story.
- Paste it into Messenger, WhatsApp, text messages, or emails.
- Include it in your Twitter/X bio, Instagram link, or on websites.
Can You Change the Group Link?
If you’re an admin, yes — here’s how:
- Go to the group page.
- Tap the ••• icon > Edit Group Settings.
- Tap the Group Link section.
- Enter a new custom link.
- Tap Save.
This updates the group’s URL (if you have a custom address set up).
Extra Tip: You Must Be a Member
You can only copy the link for groups you’ve already joined. If you’re not a member, you won’t be able to access or share the group’s direct link.
Let me know if you’d like steps for doing this from a computer or how to pin the group link to the top of the group page!
