How to Block a Phone Number on iPhone 14

The quickest solution to stop getting unwanted phone calls and texts from certain people or phone numbers is to block them. If you own the newest iPhone series, you can use the stock iOS blocking feature to block someone from calling or texting on your device. Here’s a quick guide to block a phone number on the iPhone 14 smartphone.

Calls and text messages from blocked phone numbers or contacts will no longer push through. Blocked phone numbers or contacts would still be able to leave a voicemail for you though.

View & Manage iPhone 14 Blocklist

Since blocking a phone number can be carried using different apps, managing blocklist can also be done in various ways, using different applications.

  • To view and manage your blocklist, you can access Blocked Contacts through the Phone app, Messages, FaceTime or Mail.
  • To access blocklist in the Phone app, just go to Settings-> Phone-> Block Contacts menu.
  • To access blocklist in the Messages app, go to Settings-> Messages menu then tap Blocked Contacts under the SMS/MMS section.
  • To access blocklist in FaceTime, you will need to go to Settings-> FaceTime menu then tap Block Contacts from the Calls section.
  • To access blocklist in the iOS Mail app, just go to Settings-> Mail menu then tap Blocked under the Threading section.

There you can edit the blocklist and remove anyone from the list that you no longer wish to block.

Aside from blocking phone numbers, you can also make use of other relevant iOS features to filter calls and messages from unknown senders or from certain contacts.

And that’s it!
