What To Do iPhone 11 Not Responding After Installing New App

First solution: Force restart your iPhone

Random software issues are typically resolved by restarting the phone. But since your iPhone is not responding, carrying out the usual reboot or soft reset wouldn’t be possible. This will put your device in a recovery state and then allows iTunes to repair any damaged system components. Just follow these steps to put your iPhone 11 in recovery mode and then restore iOS through iTunes:

  1. Connect your iPhone to a computer using the original USB cable or Lightning cable that came with it.
  2. Open iTunes on your Windows and/or earlier Mac computer or Finder on your Mac running macOS Catalina.
  3. While your device is connected, quickly press and release the Volume Up key. 
  4. Then quickly press and release the Volume Down key.
  5. Next, press and hold the Side button until the Connect to iTunes or recovery mode screen appears. Do not release the button if you  see the Apple logo as you’ll need to boot your phone in recovery mode.
  6. Follow the rest of the commands to restore and fresh install the firmware on your iPhone in recovery mode through iTunes.

The system restore process normally takes 15 minutes. If your iPhone is not finished restoring after 15 minutes, there is a tendency for it to exit recovery mode. Just let it finish downloading the software and then enter recovery mode again using the previous steps.

You may opt to set your device up as new or restore it from a previous iOS backup. The latter however is only possible if you have saved a backup of your iPhone on that same computer you are using right now. If not, then you’ll have no choice but to go for the former option.

Is your iPhone 11 still not responding

Complex app problems are typically dealt with by a factory reset or iOS restore. That said, the problem should be fixed by now. But if it doesn’t, then you could be dealing with something else like a corrupted OS, if not hardware damage. The latter however is very unlikely given that what you’ve got is a new iPhone.
