Taking a screenshot using your iPhone is a great way to save and share memories such as getting the highest score from your favorite game, or you want to save a conversation either from facebook messenger, twitter or even from iMessage. From the iPhone X series to the newest 2019 iPhone 11, taking a screenshot on these phones is entirely different as to the older versions. If you’ve ever used the iPhone X series before, you will not have a hard time taking a screenshot using iPhone 11 since they have the same command buttons.
Since now is the new world of technology with Face ID and gesture-based way of navigating iPhone devices, newer versions doesn’t have home buttons. This simply means taking a screenshot can differ with the older iPhone models with home buttons as there are new combinations of buttons to in taking screenshots.
The new way to take a screenshot using iPhone 11 will be shared below using the buttons as well as how to take a screenshot without even using the physical buttons of your iPhone. Read on below to find out how.
TAKE A SCREENSHOT WITH iPHONE 11
iPhone 11 devices does not have a home button, taking a screenshot requires you to use the side buttons instead. To do this simply follow the steps below:
Step 1: Make sure to set up your iPhone screen.
This means that whatever you want to take a screenshot, make sure it is showing on your iPhone Screen. For example you want to take a screenshot of a conversation on Facebook messenger, go to that particular conversation and make sure it is the one shown on the screen.
Step 2: Simultaneously press the Side Button (Power/Sleep & Wake Button) located on the right side of the Phone and the Volume Up button located at the left side of the phone.
The screen will show a white flash, and the camera shutter sound will be heard. This is only if the sound on your iPhone is enabled. A thumbnail of the captured screen or screenshot will be shown at the lower left corner of the screen.
Step 3: Before completely saving it, you have the option to edit it by tapping on the thumbnail. If you want to edit it later, you can head over to where the captured screen is being saved.

Your screenshots will automatically be saved in the Photos app on your iPhone 11. To view captured screen:
Step 1: Go to Photo App from the home screen of your iPhone
Step 2: Tap on Albums
Step 3: Tap on Screenshots
Step 4: Next, Select the screenshot you want to view, edit and or share

As mentioned, there is another way to take a screenshot on your iPhone 11 without the need to use the physical buttons and this is by using Assistive Touch.
Assistive Touch allows users to perform certain iPhone functions such as zooming in or our and performing actions with tapping instead. It can also be used when you will be having some difficulty touch the screen or if you require an adaptive accessory.
In order to use Assistive touch to take a screenshot using your iPhone 11, it needs to be enabled. To do this, simply do the following steps:
Step 1: Go to Settings from the home screen
Step 2: Tap on Accessibility
Step 3: From the Physical and Motor category, tap on Touch
Step 4: Tap on AssistiveTouch to enable it.
Step 5. From the same screen view, tap on Customize Top Level Menu. this is where you can customize and add icons that can be used with Assistive Touch.
Step 6: Tap on the + icon, choose from the list of actions and select Screenshot
Step 7: Tap Done
Whenever you want to capture a screen, simply tap the Assistive Touch on the screen and tap Screenshot icon. Just the same, captured screen will automatically be saved and can be viewed in the Photos App of your iPhone.
