If you’re used to capturing a screenshot in your old iPhone with a Home button, don’t worry, there’s a new way to do that in your iPhone XS. If you’re ready to know how to take a screenshot, proceed to the steps below.

How to capture a screenshot on your iPhone XS
- Prepare the screen or app screen you want to screenshot.
- Press and hold the Side button (the large button located on the right side) of your iPhone XS.
- At the same time that you press and hold the Side button, be sure to also press the Volume Up button.
- Once the screen flashes white and the camera makes shutter sound, you know that the screenshot attempt is successful. If your phone is set to silent mode, you won’t hear the shutter sound.
How to edit screenshot in iPhone XS
Your screenshot will automatically disappear after a few moments of taking it if you won’t dismiss it by swiping to the left. The saved image will then be kept in your camera roll. You can tap the screenshot in order to edit it.
If you want to edit the screenshot right after taking it, make sure not to swipe it to the left. Tapping the image will allow you to crop or magnify it. You can also use a variety of marking colors.
