iPhone 8 Keeps On Restarting After Screen Replacement

Problem: I just did a screen replacement on my iphone 8 with a ifixit it screen. The only issue with the phone was the screen. After the screen replacement, I am having these issues:

– The apps are slow to load (it is hit and miss, sometimes it works great or it doesn’t… usually restarting the phone helps)
– Just put a new sim card in to try to see if I can make calls. It will make a call, but then it also will freeze while making the call.
– So at the moment the screen looks great, perfect color and no lines. Then throughout the day, the screen starts to fade and you can see small horizontal lines (also fuzzy vertical lines up the middle). Sometimes just restarting the phone fixes this and sometimes not.
Thank you so much!
Solution: There’s a possibility that the screen you replaced on the phone is faulty or some other internal component (possibly the ribbon connector that connects the display to the motherboard) got damaged when you replaced the screen. You can try replacing this screen again with a new one or you should just bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

iPhone 8 Has Black Screen

Problem: Hello, I got a small amount of water in my phone and it begun to act up quickly. I turned it off and tried the rice thing since I couldn’t get it open. After a few days it failed to turn on, so I looked around and found the most common issues being the battery and charge port possibly needed replaced. I replaced the battery and the phone came on, but the screen wouldn’t power up, only the backlight could be seen. So I ordered a new LCD screen replacement. I replaced the screen and everything powered up perfectly. It was working for about 10 minutes or so when I went to push the screen back into place. As I was doing that the right half of the screen stopped working, the touch screen still works on that side, but its just black. The only thing I can think of is I may have cracked or broke the right half of the screen while trying to fit it back together since it was working perfectly just minutes before. I then took the phone back apart to check all the connections and put it back together and still have the same issue. I also tried a soft reset of the power and home button, but did not expect anything as it was previously working. Are there any other issues you would expect it to be besides having a slightly cracked/broken screen and should I then just order a new LCD and reinstall?
Solution: It’s very likely that the display is broken. You can get a new display and make sure to install it carefully on your phone. You should also consider bringing the phone to a service center and have the phone repaired.

iPhone 8 Black Screen

Problem: I was facetiming when I received the black screen. I could still hear the person on the other line so we just kept talking. After the call ended I had to restart my phone. It then worked for a few more hours with no problem. This morning, I was on my phone when the phone went black again. I restarted my phone, then I got to see my lock screen for a few seconds before going black again. I can hear when someone is calling my phone, leaving a message ect. but the screen remains black. I then connected my phone to iTunes, backed up, and restored my phone. It still has a black screen, but now I can no longer restart/ hard restart my phone. Now my phone is at factory settings and it is still not working. HELP Please!
Solution: If you have already restored the phone using iTunes and the issue still persists then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component possibly the display assembly. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
