Setup Passcode Apple Watch

Many are asking why is it useful to put a 4-digit passcode on an Apple Watch. It may seem unnecessary for some but for privacy purposes, just like with an iPhone or iPad, it is always important and recommended for a user to do a Passcode setup Apple watch

Here are some of the few reasons why it is important to put a passcode on Apple watch. First, in terms of privacy, when an Apple watch has a passcode set up on it, no one can have access to it aside from the owner itself or for those who knows the passcode. Which means, no one can read through your private data and content such as messages on facebook, instagram and text messages as well. Aside from that, no one can also have access and use its features. Second, in terms of security, without a passcode on the Apple watch, the user will not be able to make transactions using Apple pay. And lastly, having a passcode on an Apple watch allows you to unlock your Mac, without it you will not be able to do so.

Although, there are users who find it inconvenient when putting a passcode on their Apple watch because they thought that there’s always a need to input the passcode every time they use but it’s not always the case. Of course a passcode is needed when you will use your watch, but it does not mean “always”. You will only be asked to input your passcode in certain situations such as when an Apple watch reboots or restarts, when Apple watch was manually locked and when the Apple watch is removed from your wrist.
