iPhone 7 Plus Makes Text Sound Notifications Even In Silent Mode

Problem: Have a new iPhone 7 Plus and noticed this week that when I am using my phone or have it unlocked (apps, etc) – my incoming text notification rings aloud, even when I’m in silent/vibrate mode. This does not happen when the phone rings. I can be working in an app and when someone calls me it only vibrates. The only thing that sounds in silent mode is when someone texts me.

Solution: When you activate the silent / vibrate mode of the phone there should be no sound coming from text messages and the notification you will be getting is a vibration. Since the text notification still rings aloud then the issue could be caused by some software glitch. What you should try doing first is to force a restart by pressing and holding both Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds then release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Try to check if the issue still occurs after performing this step. If it does then check your phone settings. If the volume level set to minimum? Is the silent/vibrate switch activated? If there’s nothing wrong with the phone settings then you should try to check if the phone has a software update available then update it accordingly. One last troubleshooting step that you should also consider is to backup your phone data then restore the phone and set it up as a new device.

iPhone 7 Plus Left Speaker Not Working

Problem: Hello, earlier I was listening to my music and it has been working both speakers but I just recently turned on my music once again and now my left speaker is out. I had accidentally washed my phone but it was literally inside the comforter so it didn’t get too wet–thank god. Both speakers were working when I made sure everything was working properly but now my left side is out and I don’t know if it’s because I blew it out or if there’s water in it. It was working perfectly fine until now. I have the iPhone 7 Plus.

Solution: The iPhone 7 Plus uses stereo speakers making it great to use when listening to music even without a pair of earphones. The speakers however are located on the right bottom side of the phone and on top of the phone ( the earpiece acts as a second speaker). The lower left side of the phone with a speaker grill is actually placed for visual symmetry.

iPhone 7 Plus Automatically Plays Music When Headset Or Charger Is Removed

Problem: When disconnecting it from either USB charging, or headset, MUSIC mysteriously begins playing. When I go to the Apple Music app where all my iTunes files are stored, and where I normally go to play something, I find that none of those files are playing. The only way to stop the music is to reboot the phone. I have checked other apps such as Pandora, iMovie and Internet-radio — NONE OF THEM are “on.” This mysterious playing does not always occur. I cannot find anything on the internet or Apple website which helps.

Solution: If this issue occur randomly then it could be caused by a software glitch. Try to force your phone to restart by y pressing and holding both Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds then release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. Since you mentioned that the issue occurs when disconnecting the charger or headset then you should also check the charging port of the phone. Clean this port using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in it.

Should the issue persist I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

iPhone 7 Plus Mute Notifications While On A Call

Problem: I don’t have an issue per say I just need help & cannot find an answer. How do I mute alert sounds (text or messenger) while I am on a phone call? Can you help. My IPhone 6 was set that way but I cannot find the setting option to fix it on my new IPhone 7. Thank you in advance

Solution: The only way to mute the notifications sounds while you’re on a call is to manually activate the silence/mute switch when you are on a call.

iPhone 7 Plus Can Barely Be Heard By Caller

Problem: When using the mobile on a call I can hear the other person but they say that I sound either distant or muffled and they have trouble hearing me

Solution: Sometimes this problem can be caused by network issues. Try to check if your phone has a good signal reception. The other party should also have a good network connection.

Does the issue occur when calling a person on another network? If it does then the problem could be caused an interconnection issue between both networks.

If you have determined that the network is not causing the problem then try to force restart your phone by by pressing and holding both Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds then release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Check if the issue still occurs after this. If it does then I suggest you backup your phone data then restore your phone and set it up as a new device.

Should the issue persist you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
