iPhone 6S Screen Randomly Freezes
Problem: My daughter had dropped her phone and cracked the screen. I replaced the screen and digitizer. All worked well for about 24 hours. After that the screen started to randomly freeze on different apps. Any idea on how to fix this problem? Thank you
Solution: The best way to deal with this problem is to backup your phone data then restore the phone as a new device. Once this is done do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the screen freezes. If it does then this could be caused by the replacement screen and digitizer. Check the connection between the display assembly and the phone motherboard and make sure that it is properly secured. You should also consider using another display assembly on the phone.
iPhone 6S Touchscreen Not Working
Problem: iPhone 6s. Replaced charging port, after that repair the ear speaker sounded bad and while making a call the people on the other end could barely hear me. FaceTime worked fine. Replaced ear microphone and camera harness Assy. The touchscreen stopped working due to tear in cable. Replaced screen and transferred camera harness. Touchscreen still not working. I’m about ready to take a hammer to this phone and call it quits! All connections look clean and clear of debris. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!
Solution: You should check the connection between the display assembly and the motherboard and make sure that it is properly secured. Consider also using a different display assembly as the one you are using might have a problem. If the issue persists then it’s best to bring the phone to a service center so that it can be thoroughly checked.
iPhone 6S Not Starting After Getting Wet
Problem: This morning I did it: I accidentally dropped my phone (iPhone 6S) in the toilet! I immediately picked it up and wiped off the water with a towel. Despite that it worked perfectly fine for a couple of minutes, before shutting off completely. I desperately tried to turn it back on, many times, but it just wouldn’t. About an hour later I was on the bus on my way to school and pressed the on/off button reaaally hard, and it worked! It turned on and I unlocked it and everything was fine – until it shut itself off again. I pressed the button hard again and it started, then shut off again and that kept on happening for a couple of minutes. Then, I turned in on a few minutes after and for some reason it didn’t shut off like before. I opened snapchat and something weird happened. The volume was fucked up. I had headphones in although no music was on, but it kept maxing the volume over and over. I tried to lower the volume several times, but every time it immediately went back to max, like there was a ghost finger pressing the higher volume button. It also kept taking photos and filming without me doing anything, when the snapchat camera was opened. I turned it off and just gave up for the rest of the bus trip. During the first class I had, it kept turning on and off, all by itself. When the class was over my phone was burning hot. I put it in my bag in my locker and just let it remain there during second class. When that class was over I picked up my phone, only to find that it refused to start. My guess is that it kept turning on and off during that class, until it charged out completely. Now, about 12 hours later I finally got my hands on a charger and put it in the first thing I did. It’s been charging for about 20 minutes, but nothing is happening. I’ve tried to turn it on, but it won’t. When I have off sound, nothing happens when pressing the button. With sound on it randomly does that little “sound on buzzing”, approx every 5th time pressing either on/off button or home button. Also sometimes without me touching it. As I am 15 years old, and this phone is quite new (got it about 6 weeks ago), I feel really scared to tell my parents that I dropped my phone in the toilet – and kind of fucked it up. It’s never happened before and I don’t think they would take it too well. Please help me.
Solution: The problem is most likely caused by moisture entering the phone. You will need to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside your phone. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then some components inside the phone might have been water damaged. The best course of action to take if this is the case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 6S Screen Is Black After Getting Wet
Problem: Hello, I am having a problem with my iphone 6s, I dropped my Iphone in a pan of anti-freeze, I instantly put the phone in a bag of rice, i don’t recall if i turned it off completely of not, but i left my phone in the bag of rice and when i took it out the next morning I turned it on, the sound didn’t work, and part of the screen was discolored, it was working and i needed my phone, i thought the discoloration was my screen protector had been peeled up. The phone lost the battery life and i plugged it in and it charged to 5% then it went back down while plugged in (i was using it while it was plugged in) eventually it died, i made sure it was plugged in before going to bed, when i woke up the screen was black and it won’t do anything, no hard reset, nothing. I put it in rice for 24 hours and still nothing.
Solution: Since you have already placed your phone in rice which doesn’t seem to work then it’s very likely that some components inside the phone has already been water damaged. You will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
