2020 iPad Pro Cover Leaked With More Evidence of a Triple-Camera

  • An external case/cover for the 2020 iPad Pro has leaked revealing what appears to be a cutout for three rear cameras.
  • This adds to a recent report that talked about a triple-camera iPad Pro model going into production.
  • With the frequency of leaks increasing, one can assume that the announcement of the 2020 iPad Pro is not far away.
  • Apple is also expected to launch a successor to the budget-ranged iPhone SE by the end of March.

A recent report mentioned that an upgraded iPad Pro model for later this year with triple rear cameras was going into production. Well, there’s more evidence now corroborating the previous report, this time in the form of the 2020 iPad Pro case. Accessed from a case manufacturer, this shows a bigger cutout for the rear cameras of the iPad Pro, which is new to the iPad Pro.

The pictures were revealed by Twitter source @BenGeskin, and does appear to be the real deal. But as is the case with all leaks, we recommend you to take this with a grain of salt for now. The production of these purported iPad Pro cases also suggests that a launch may not be far away. Apple is expected to host an event by the end of March, which is also expected to see the arrival of the iPhone SE successor, also known as the iPhone 9.

The iPad Pro models have traditionally offered performance on par or better than the iPhone flagships of the time. By this measure, it makes a great deal of sense that the iPad Pro will have the triple-camera layout which includes a dedicated telephoto lens to take photography to the next level.

This also pitches an idea that not a lot of people have gotten used to i.e. taking pictures or videos with an iPad, particularly a bulky device like the iPad Pro.

Taking this into consideration, we’re still uncertain about whether the 2020 iPad Pro will come with triple rear cameras. What we can say is that the 2020 iPad Pro will be equipped with an upgraded model of the Apple A13 Bionic chipset used in the iPhone 11 lineup, while also offering existing features like Face ID, and perhaps something more. We also expect the new iPad Pro to have a slimmer profile while also offering the same solid battery life.
