First solution: Restart your router and your iPad

Network issues that occur after an update are often due to system glitches. The most logical thing you have to do at this point is the forced restart. It’s a simulated battery removal that refreshes your iPad’s memory, and reloads all its applications and services.

  1. Unplug your modem or router from the wall outlet or simply disconnect the power cord from the main unit.
  2. Leave it without power for a minute or two.
  3. While waiting, force restart your iPad Air to refresh its memory. If it’s just a minor issue with one of the network services, then a reboot is enough to fix it.
  4. Now plug the power cord of your network device back into the wall outlet, or reconnect the cord to the main unit.
  5. Wait for the device to become online and your iPad to finish rebooting, and then reconnect to the network.

Once your iPad and router have finished rebooting, try to see if the internet connection has improved.

Second solution: Re-establish the connection

Another possible method to fix slow browsing issues from an iOS update is to restart or refresh your iPad’s wireless internet functions. The best thing to do is to delete the existing connection and then let your iPad reconnect to the network.  Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap WiFi.
  3. Tap the Info icon of your network.
  4. Tap Forget This Network, and touch Forget to confirm.
  5. After that, allow your phone to scan the area, and once it has detected the network, reconnect to it.

After this, try to see if your connection has improved.

Third solution: Reset all Network settings on your iPad

After making sure that the problem isn’t with your network device, the next thing you have to do is refresh all network or wireless services on your iPad. You can do so by resetting all network settings. When it comes to connectivity issues, this procedure has been proven to be effective. This is how it’s done:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap General if it’s not selected yet.
  3. Touch Reset.
  4. Tap Reset Network Settings.
  5. If prompted, enter your security lock.
  6. Tap Reset to proceed with network settings reset.

Your iPad will reboot after this, once it has finished rebooting, try to see if the problem is fixed.

After resetting your iPad’s network settings and your internet is still slow, then you should call your Internet service provider as it can be a network problem.

I hope that this simple troubleshooting guide has been able to help you.
