With Apple officially sending out the iOS 13 update to its devices starting a day ago, it’s natural that most users are waiting to get the update as quickly as possible. However, developers of popular games like PUBG and Fortnite have a word of warning for players on the platform looking to update to iOS 13. Apparently a gesture related bug is rendering the aforementioned apps unplayable, thus causing a significant amount of frustration for players.
It is also clear that this glitch isn’t just limited to the aforementioned games. 9to5Mac reports that this bug on iOS 13 affects pretty much any app that uses triple-finger tap-and-hold gestures which is common among first-person shooter games.
This is no doubt cause for serious concern, especially given the number of changes Apple is introducing here. A glitch like this has the potential to take all the positives away from this glowing new update, and we’re hoping Apple sends out a fix soon. Developers of PUBG gave out this statement recognizing this bug:
“We are aware of an issue for players who upgraded to iOS 13, where touching the screen with 3 fingers will trigger an iOS function and interrupt the game. We have already raised the issue with Apple, and we will continue working with them to resolve the issue. We suggest players who play the game with 3 or more fingers do not upgrade to iOS 13 until the issue is resolved.”
iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 introduces a system-wide Dark Mode theme that offers a brand new look to your iPhone and iPad while also making some granular changes to conventionally untouched features like the onscreen ringer/silent toggle as well as the virtual volume buttons.
