Apple pulled Fortnite out from the App Store as its developer and publisher, Epic Games, violated some of its terms and conditions. The latter, in return, filed a lawsuit that seeks to end the former’s “unfair and anti-competitive actions” to maintain its monopoly.
With these two companies battling each other, the ones caught in the cross-fire are the users. As a result, iPhone and iPad users can no longer install and play Fortnite Battle Royale on their devices, as the game app can no longer be found in the App Store. As of now, there is no way you can install a fresh copy of Fornite on your iOS device.
However, users who have already installed the game before, can still be able to download and install it easily. And that’s what I’m going to show you in this post. So continue reading if you don’t know how to do it yet as it will be easy and quick.
Re-Install Fortnite On iPhone
To begin, launch the App Store. Yes, you still need the App Store even if the app is already banned or blocked.
Tap your Account or profile picture.
Tap Purchased and proceed to My Purchases.
If you’ve installed Fortnite on this iPhone before, then you should be able to find the app under the current tab. If not, then tap Not On This iPhone.
Now find Fortnite by scrolling down slowly. Depending on how long ago you uninstalled it, it might be found towards the end of the list. Once found, tap the Download icon next to it.
What you need to do now is wait until the download is complete. Depending on your connection, it may take a few minutes to complete as you will be downloading a huge file.
Once the game is successfully downloaded and installed, tap Open to launch it.
You will then have to log into your account to play Fortnite.
And that’s pretty much how to install or reinstall Fortnite on iOS now that the game is banned! The issues between Epic Games and Apple won’t be resolved anytime soon, so if the former rolls out new updates for the game, iOS and iPadOS users may no longer be able to update the app. But as of now, can still play Fortnite on your iPhone given that the condition stated above is met.
Users who haven’t installed Fortnite before won’t be able to do this procedure and there’s no workaround.
I hope that this simple tutorial can help you one way or the other.
