Steps on how to be Invisible on Facebook Chat

Be offline on Facebook Chat, follow the steps below:
- Log into your Facebook Account
Launch your browser and go to facebook.com. Log in to your Facebook account.
- Click on the Gear icon
It is at the Chat box located at the lower right hand corner of your Facebook Homepage.
- Click on Turn Off Active Status
Active or Online Status will be Turned Off.
- Click on Turn Off Active Status for all contacts
This is the first option. In here, not one of your friends lists or contacts may be able to see you online. You will appear offline to everybody.
- Click on Turn Off Active Status for all contacts except
The second option. In here, it simply means who choose who can only see you online. You need to enter their names on the space provided.
- Click on Turn off Active Status for only some contacts
The last option. In here, you decide to be offline for a particular person. You need to enter their names on the space provided.
- Click Okay
This is to confirm your option of choice.
