Although this is a solid performing device there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. Make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version before you perform the troubleshooting steps listed below. If an update is available then you should download and install it first. You can update your phone by connecting it to a computer with iTunes running.

Turn on the Wi-Fi switch of the phone

Your phone has a Wi-Fi switch which needs to be turned on so that it can connect to a Wi-Fi network.

  • From your Home screen, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  • Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network that you want to join.

Make sure Airplane Mode is off

The airplane mode is a setting found in your phone which is activated when you are in an airplane. When this is turned on your phone will not receive or transmit any wireless signals so that it will not interfere with the aircraft electronic equipment.
