How To Fix iPhone 6 Camera Problems

iPhone 6 Camera Not Focusing

Problem: I am writing an email regarding camera problems with my iPhone 6. Past a day or two, I tried to use my camera, but the focus won’t work. I tried from the camera directly, snap chat and other application but it just wouldn’t focus. And so haven’t been able to get good pictures.I won’t deny it hasn’t fallen. It has, once or twice, but that was like a few weeks back. Any help towards this would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Solution: Apple has recommended the following steps listed below to resolve camera focus issues. Try to follow each step, move to the next step if the issue persists.

  • Make sure that the camera lens is clean. If you need to clean the lens, use a microfiber cloth. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.
  • Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
  • With iPhone 6 Plus, a metallic case or magnetic lens could interfere with optical image stabilization. If you have a metallic case or magnetic lens attachment, try taking a picture without it. Then compare the quality.
  • Adjust the focus by tapping on the person or object in the preview screen. You’ll see the screen pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as the camera adjusts. In photo mode, try to stay steady when adjusting the focus. If you move too far in any direction, the camera will automatically refocus to the center. In video mode, you can adjust the focus before you begin recording.
  • If the color seems too bright, or you see double-exposures of moving objects, make sure that HDR is set to Auto or Off. Tap HDR at the top of the screen to choose a different setting.

If the problem still persists after following the steps listed above then try to check if there are any new software updates available for your phone. You should also consider doing a factory reset and setting up your phone as a new device.

Before restoring your phone

  • Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.
  • Use iTunes to back up your device. Transfer and sync any additional content to your computer.
  • If you’re using iOS 6 or later, go to Settings > iCloud and turn off Find My iPhone.

Restoring your phone

  • Connect your device to your computer using the cable that came with it.
  • Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes.
  • In the Summary panel, click Restore.
  • Click Restore again to confirm that you want to restore your device to factory settings and delete all data and content. iTunes will download the device software file and restore your device.
  • After your device is restored to factory settings, it will restart. When it does, you’ll see the “Slide to set up” welcome screen. Follow the steps in the device Setup Assistant.

iPhone 6 Blurry Videos

Problem: I often make movies, it is one of my hobbies. However a couple of days ago, when I uploaded my camera I noticed that it wasn’t focused at all. I apologise if you have already answered this question, I just really want my camera sorted so I can get back filming. I have an iPhone 6 By the way. Please help me out!!! Thank you

iPhone 6 Camera Not Working

Problem: I just got the iphone 6 today and my camera’s are not working.  All I see is a black screen and I cannot take a picture.  Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Solution: First make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update. Do a restart followed by a reset if the restart fails.

Restart

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  • Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  • After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

If the problem persists then bring your phone to the nearest Apple Store for further checking.

iPhone 6 Camera Not Working After Phone Dropped

Problem: I recently dropped my iPhone 6 and now the camera does not work. It also gets very hot when in use and in stand by and drains the battery. Is this the camera and should I just replace it? Thank you

Solution: Since this issue occurred after you dropped your phone then it is safe to say that some internal component in your phone has been affected by the drop. To know exactly which part of your phone is failing you need to bring it to the Apple store and have it checked.

iPhone 6 Camera Permanently Focused Close After Software Update

iPhone 6 Camera App Constantly Crashes

Problem: My iPhone 6 has all sorts of minor problems from the apps freezing and locking, to a failure to rotate when in various apps (Google maps included – and I have made sure the rotate screen lock is off), but the more annoying problem is the camera crashing when i try to use it in locked screen mode. It starts for about half a second, then the screen goes black. Anyone have any idea how to cure this? I have restored the phone but without success. Thanks in anticipation.

Solution: Try to check if there are any new software updates available for your phone and get them. Most owners of this device experiencing the same issue say that a soft reset fixes the problem.

  • Press and hold the Power button (located on the top edge) until ‘slide to power off’ appears then release.
  • Slide the Power switch right. Allow several seconds for the device to power off.
  • With the device powered off, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears then release.
