Steps to Deactivate Facebook

Below is a step by step guide on how to do it.

  1. Log into your Facebook Account

    Launch browser and go to facebook.com. Then, log in to your Facebook account if you are not log in already.

    Click on the arrow pointing downwards located at the upper right hand corner.

    Your Facebook Information section is located at the left side corner of the screen. Click Click on Your Facebook Information

  4. Click View on Deactivation and Deletion

    The section is located at the far bottom of Your Facebook Information Section View on Deactivation and Deletion

  5. Select Deactivate Account

    Make sure to select deactivate account if you want it to be temporary. Click on Deactivate Account

  6. Click on Continue to Deactivate Account

  7. Give Reason for leaving

    You can choose: This is temporary. I’ll be back. Automatically reactivate my account in (how many days)Give Reason for leaving

  8. Click on Deactivate

    Prompt message again appears to confirm action. Click on Deactivate Now

After performing the steps above, you will successfully deactivate your Facebook temporarily. If you choose to reactivate your account, you can do so by logging into your Account again.
