Changing your Facebook Password
Changing your Facebook password is pretty easy and it only takes a few minutes. Here are the easy steps on how to change the password of Facebook account from the website and on the Facebook Mobile App of your devices such as iPhone, iPad, Android and pretty much devices that has a Facebook Mobile App installed.
Using the Facebook Mobile App
Time needed: 8 minutes.
You can change your Facebook password using the Facebook Mobile App on your Device.
- Launch your Facebook mobile app on your device
From the home screen of your mobile device, tap on the Facebook App icon.
- At the lower right corner of the screen, tap the 3 horizontal lines
Facebook Menu will appear after you click the 3 horizontal lines located at the lower right corner of your Facebook home screen.
- Tap on Settings
Scroll down at the Settings & Privacy Section and tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security & Login
Under the Security section from the Settings Menu, tap on Security and Login.
- Tap on Change Password
Under the Security and Log in Section, scroll down to the Login Section and tap on Change password.
- Fill in the Fields
Enter your current password. Enter the new password then re-enter the new password. Tap on Save Changes to confirm and apply changes made.
If you are using 2 or more devices to log into your Facebook Account, the Log out from other devices screen will appear. You can either choose to Stay Logged in to your account or Review other Devices. If you choose Stay logged in option, you will then be redirected to the security and log in screen. You have successfully changed your password. On the other hand, if you choose to Review other devices, you will have the option to manually logged out from the devices used with your account.
Change Facebook Password on Facebook website.
Step 1: Launch browser and type in facebook.com. Log into your Facebook account if you’re not log in already.
Step 2: Click on the arrow pointing downwards located at the upper right corner of Facebook home screen. Click on Settings from the drop down menu that appears.
Step 3: From General Account Settings section, at the left side corner of the screen, select and click on Security and Login option.
Step 4: Scroll down from Security and Login menu and click on Change Password at the Login tab.
Step 5: Fill up the blank fields. Enter the current password that you use to log into your Facebook account. Next, enter your new password and again Re-enter new password. Your new password and re-entering new password must match.
Step 6: Click on Save Changes to confirm and apply changes made.
The Password Changed dialogue box appears. You will have the option to Review other devices or Stay logged in. If you have been using 2 or more devices logged into your account you can either choose to Stay logged in and you will be redirected to the password changed menu or you can choose to Review other devices. In this case you can review the devices used and manually logged out your account from the devices.
