Want to give your iPhone lock screen a personal touch? With iOS 16 and later, you can customize the font and color of the clock widget on your lock screen. It’s simple, fast, and a great way to match your wallpaper or aesthetic.
Here’s how to do it:
Customize the Clock on Your iPhone Lock Screen
- Wake your iPhone and stay on the Lock Screen.
- Long-press anywhere on the screen until the Customize button appears.
- Tap Customize on the lock screen you want to edit.
- Tap the Clock to open the font and color options.
- Choose from 8 font styles (currently the only options available).
- Below the fonts, select a color or tap the color wheel to use a custom shade.
- Tap the X to close the editor once you’re happy with the changes.
- Tap Done in the top-right corner to save.
- Choose Set as Wallpaper Pair to match the Home Screen, or Customize Home Screen if you want to style it differently.
Things to Note
- Fonts are still limited to 8 choices, but color customization is wide open.
- You can preview changes in real-time as you tweak them.
- If you’re using Focus Modes, you can set different lock screens for different focuses.
