In this troubleshooting guide, we will show you how to fix the Bluetooth pairing problems you may have encountered with your iPhone 12 mini. These issues are often pretty minor that you can fix them by simply doing one or a couple of procedures. Read on to learn more.

Bluetooth devices nowadays are always compatible with smartphones, so you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues anymore. But some iPhone 12 Mini users are having some issues connecting to Bluetooth headsets and other devices. If you’re one of them, then here’s what you should do:

First solution: Restart your iPhone and Bluetooth device

The problem you currently have may be due to a minor issue with your iPhone or your Bluetooth headset or device. So what you need to do first is to refresh their memories by restarting them. In the case of your iPhone, it’s better to do the forced restart as it also reloads all services. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Quickly press and release the Volume up button, and then the Volume down button.
  2. Immediately after that, press and hold the Power key for 8 seconds. This will trigger your device to shut down and power back up.
  3. When the Apple logo shows, release the Power key and allow the iPhone to continue the boot process.
  4. While waiting for your iPhone to finish rebooting, also restart your Bluetooth device.

When both devices have finished restarting, try to see if they can now pair or connect.

Most of the time, this procedure alone will fix almost all Bluetooth related problems. So your iPhone 12 Mini and Bluetooth headset may now pair successfully. However, if for some reason it can’t fix the problem, then move on to the next solution.

Second solution: Reset the Network Settings

Assuming that the first solution failed, what you have to do next is to reset the network settings. This will delete all wireless connections on your device including Bluetooth pairings. But this procedure has also been proven to be very effective in fixing Bluetooth problems that can’t be fixed by simply restarting the devices. So here’s what you should do:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and then touch Reset.
  4. Touch Reset Network Settings.
  5. If prompted, enter your security lock.
  6. Tap Reset Network Settings at the bottom of the screen.

Your iPhone 12 Mini will reboot after this, once it has finished rebooting, try to see if the problem is fixed. You also need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network so that you’ll have a stable internet connection.

Third solution: Factory reset your iPhone 12 Mini

Most of the time, a third solution will not be necessary as the first two solutions are enough to fix this pretty minor problem. However, assuming that the first two methods failed, then it’s probably a firmware issue. So the next thing you have to do is to factory reset your iPhone. But before that, make sure to create a copy of your important files and data. When ready, follow these steps to do the factory reset:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Find and tap General.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and then touch Reset.
  4. Tap Erase All Contents and Settings.
  5. Tap Erase Now.
  6. If prompted, enter your security lock.
  7. Tap Erase iPhone at the bottom of the screen.
  8. Tap Erase iPhone again to proceed.
  9. Now enter your Apple ID password, and then tap Erase to proceed with the reset.

Wait until your iPhone has finished the reset, and then set it up as a new device. You should be able pair your iPhone with your Bluetooth devices now.

And that’s how you fix the Bluetooth pairing problems on your iPhone 12 Mini. We hope that this simple troubleshooting guide has been helpful one way or the other.
