iPhone 8 Plus Not Fully Charging
Problem: Hi i have an issue on my iphone 8+. I charged my iphone from 20% – 95% for almost 2 hours but i decided to leave it for a while until its fully charged. I came back after 10 mins and saw that it’s still 95% so i decided to restart the phone because the back was warm and after restarting the battery goes fully charged at 100%. I’m not sure but i think it’s the adapter issue but i’m not that sure because my 5s is showing some similar problem. What do you think? I’m running the latest ios 11.2.6 i updated it because i thought it was ios issue but no. And i just recently bought my phone its 2 weeks old
Solution: There’s a possibility that this is caused by a software glitch which can be fixed by just restarting the phone. Just observe your phone and check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
Calibrate your phone battery
- Restart the phone.
- Use the phone until it the battery reaches 0%.
- Charge the phone until it reaches to 100%.
If the issue remains even after calibrating the battery then you should consider restoring your phone then set it up as a new device. Make sure to backup your phone data before restoring the phone.
You should also check if the charger is causing the problem by using a different charging cord and wall charger.
iPhone 8 Plus Screen Went Black
Problem: The screen of my iPhone 8 plus mysteriously went black, although it’s fully charged. I tried a forced restart and nothing seemed to work. I am worried about my data. I hadn’t back up about of it prior to this happening (which wasn’t the smartest thing to do), so I was wondering if there is any way I could recover my data in my case.
Solution: You can try connecting your phone to a computer with the latest version of iTunes installer then try fixing the phone without losing your data by following the steps listed below.
- Connect your phone to a computer with iTunes running.
- Force restart the phone. Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the connect to iTunes screen.
- When the option to Restore or Update appears choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
If the issue persists then I suggest that you bring the phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
