iPhone 7 Not Turning On After Software Update

Problem: I got the newest update on my phone and after it finished downloading it won’t turn on. it stays on the black screen with the white apple and won’t fully turn on. I’m scared to reset it because of the software update. I have also been having glitchy problems in last few days

Solution: What you will want to do right now is to force restart the phone by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button + Volume Down button for 10 seconds. If the phone does not start then you will need to install the software update again using iTunes.

  • Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
  • Connect your device to your computer.
  • Open iTunes and select your device.
  • Click Summary, then click Check for Update.
  • Click Download and Update.
  • If asked, enter your passcode.

In case the above steps fails to work then put your phone in recovery mode then update the phone software.

  • Make sure that you’re using the latest version of iTunes.
  • Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.
  • While your device is connected, force restart it.  Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery-mode screen.
  • When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

If the issue persists then bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

iPhone 7 Not Charging

Problem: Hi Team, I am writing regarding my iPhone 7 which isn’t charging properly with the adapter.  I have tried various combinations of data cables and adapters, along with testing out various plug extensions. Moreover, other iPhones including iPhone 6/6S/7 charge perfectly with the same data cable and adapter but not my iPhone. Similarly, it will start charging at odd hours of the night, and charges perfectly with laptop.  I haven’t updated it to the new iOS 11 and have tried rebooting/restarting the phone. I am contemplating getting a new adapter and cable but that doesn’t seem the issue.  Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in it. Once this is done try charging your phone again with a charging cord and wall charger that have been tested to work on other devices.

iPhone 7 No Notification Sounds

Problem: Hi team, I would like to share an issue which i am facing from yesterday evening that my notification sounds are not working I already checked all setting like do not disturb is disabled and volume button also up and i also restart my device but still facing the same issue I am using Iphone 7 with IOS 11.0.2 Please advise and help to get it resolved asap. I think that it might be some software issue because when i play music or video my speakers are working fine it means that there is no problem with the speakers

Solution: The phone has a ringer switch on the top left edge. If the switch is in the red position then the silent mode is activated. Just flip the switch so that it is not in the red position. Your notification sounds will now work after this.

iPhone 7 Sometimes Freezes

Problem: My iPhone 7 sometimes freezes.. It can be still opened through the lock button, Siri works well, notifications come but the applications cannot be opened. And it stays on the home page where it was last used. Then the applications like Safari appears like “gray”, like when it is being opened. It cannot be restarted thru the lock button only, then I searched for a solution and it finally worked. But I’d like to know what causes this problem of freezing of apps.

Solution: The freezing issue is usually caused by apps installed in your phone that are not yet optimized to work properly. What you need to do is to make sure that the software of your phone is updated and make sure that the apps in your phone are also up to date.

iPhone 7 Searching For Signal

Problem: Son’s iPhone 7 has been showing “Searching” for signal for 24 hours now. Took to Verizon and told to contact Apple. Has reset several times. Still the same. Backed everything up tonight. Completely reset phone back to factory settings. Now The iPhone 7 is showing the phone not being able to activate so he can download his info back to this phone. Please help!!
