7 Best Wireless Headphones For iPhone 7

Smartphones sound better than ever these days. Companies, like Apple, are constantly improving how their products sound, making it easy to get your jam on with the press of a button. But, sometimes, you’re not always in a place where you can just let your iPhone 7 play music, such as in a coffee shop or during a workout session at a gym. That’s why wireless headphones can be such a lifesaver — you can keep that motivation going — and with some great sound clarity — with a good pair of headphones. No one has to hear your tunes this way, either.

So, if you want to outfit your iPhone 7 with an excellent pair of headphones, be sure to follow along below. We’ve got our top picks listed!

Jaybird X3

Our favorite pair is easily the Jaybird X3. These have been around for a long time, and have quickly become a fan favorite. They offer the best sound quality that a style like this can offer. You get a rich and clear sound across the board, and the Jaybird X3’s also have some decent bass.

Jaybird designed the X3’s for all types of scenarios — they’re super comfortable, so they’re perfect for long listening sessions, such as at work. They’re also moisture resistant, which means they are great for intense workouts or long jogs/runs. A single charge can last for a few hours of straight music streaming before needing a charge.

Beats PowerBeats3

We also really like the PowerBeats3 by Beats. These are Beats’ more low profile headphones, which are more optimal for situations like jogging, running, or even a long gym session. The audio quality is crystal clear, with them providing rich and accurate sound across the board. There’s some decent bass in these headphones as well, which means you’re going to get a decent “boom” during rock or rap songs, too. As far as battery life goes, you should get twelve hours off of a single charge. Once you run out of juice, they charge quickly, all thanks to Fast Fuel technology. Just five minutes plugged into a cable will get you a whole hour of music playback.

Since these are comfortable, you should be able to get some longer listening sessions out of these easily.

Jaybird X4

The Jaybird X4’s are an improvement over the Jaybird X3’s, though, in real-life testing, we would say that the upgrades are reasonably minimal. You should get slightly better audio quality and more efficient battery life inside, though customer reviews peg this as having a worse battery.

Either way, you should still get around 8 hours of battery life, depending on how much you use these. One of the highlights of the X4’s is that it comes with an app you can download on your phone for control over the EQ. Individual levels can be adjusted and customized.

We wouldn’t say these are the best wireless earbuds for the iPhone 7, but they’re much better than, say, your Soundmoov’s.

Apple AirPods

You can’t go wrong with a pair of Apple AirPods for your iPhone 7. Designed to work with the W1 chip inside the device, these are easily the best wireless earbuds for the iPhone 7.

This pair of AirPods is an all-new model of the Apple AirPods, coming with better battery life, wireless charging ability for the case, and slightly upgraded sound.

What we love about this setup is that the charging case itself comes with an additional 24 hours of charging time inside, giving you the ability to keep your AirPods juiced up all week, or at least for a few days, depending on how much you listen to music.

That’s honestly a stark contrast from other earbuds, which need charging almost daily. When your Apple AirPods are dead, and with just 15 minutes in the charging case, that charging case can bring you three hours of charge time in your earbuds.

Jaybird RUN

We’re big fans of the Jaybird RUN as well. This is a truly wireless pair of headphones, as wires don’t even connect the two earbuds. They connect up to your iPhone 7 by way of Bluetooth. You have to power both of them individually, but once they boot up, they connect automatically.

As far as audio quality, the Jaybird RUN is similar to the Jaybird X3’s in the sound department — you get a clear, rich sound across the board. There’s some decent bass in these as well, but don’t expect it to be “booming,” as it’s just enough to compliment the other aspects of the sound quality. The Jaybird RUN is comfortable as well, perfect for long listening sessions. They come with some varying wingtips if you find the default uncomfortable at all. They last around fours on battery, but when you need more, stick them in the fast charging case for a quick jolt of juice.

Beats Solo3

Earpiece headphones are great because they’re low profile, aren’t clunky, and sometimes, cannot even be seen. But, headphones like that do have a limit on sound quality, just because there’s not a lot of space to put bigger and better hardware in. So, if you want something bigger for better sound quality, you’ll have to look for actual headphones. And the Beats Solo3 is no slouch — the Solo3’s embody everything that you would expect out of the Beats brand — long time comfort, great battery life, and rich, clear sound. These have a microphone built into the headphones so that you can take calls without picking up your phone.

Soundmoov

If you like what you see with the Jaybird X3’s or PowerBeats3’s, but don’t want to spend that much money on something, look no further than the Soundmood headphones. These headphones sound excellent across the board, but they do have just a couple of minor cons at this budget level — when you turn up the volume too much, the sound gets distorted, but you don’t want to blast your eyes out anyway, so that should be fine. The other downside is that you can only listen for a straight 2.5 hours of music playback before needing to juice up again. They do come with a charging case for keeping them charged on the go, but it’s still a bit of a hassle.

Verdict

As you can see, there are a lot of great wireless headphones on the market for the iPhone 7. If you want to upgrade your audio game or keep the ambiance out during study sessions, and of these headphones will do; however, we cannot help but recommend the sheer quality in the Beats Solo3 or Jaybird X3’s.
