The following steps demonstrates how to start a conference call using the built-in Phone/Dialer application on your iPhone XS. Follow these steps to make a conference call with your peers with iOS 12:

  1. Start by placing a call on your preferred contact.
  2. Then, tap the option to Add Call from the in-call menu. The first call will be put on hold while you dial the second number.
  3. Once the other person answers the call, you can tap the option to Merge Calls. This will trigger everyone to connect and that instigates a three-way call.

As the name implies, it allows you to make a group audio and video FaceTime calls for up to 32 participants at once. Here’s how to make a group FaceTime call using your iPhone XS FaceTime app:

  1. Launch FaceTime app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Plus (+) icon on the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Enter the name or contact number of the person you want to call.
  4. Then add more contacts by entering their names or phone numbers. You can add up to 30 more contacts.
  5. To start or place your FaceTime call, tap Video if you prefer video calling. Otherwise, tap Audio.

How to make a conference/group FaceTime call on iPhone XS through Messages app

With iOS 12, you can now use FaceTime through the stock Messages app on your iPhone XS. An integrated FaceTime into the Messages app is just one of the new features of the recently rolled out iOS platform. This integration therefore allows you to place a group FaceTime call to any members of your group iMessage thread. Here’s how it works:
