Steps on how to insert a SIM card for iPhone XS:

Inserting a SIM card to an iPhone XS is fairly simple. If you haven’t tried doing it before, these are the steps that you must do:

  1. Make sure that your iPhone XS is powered off.
  2. Prepare the ejector or ejection pin. This is the metal pin that comes with the phone when you first unboxed it. If you lost or misplaced it, you can use a paper clip instead.
  3. Using the ejection pin, carefully insert it into the hole on the SIM card or SD card tray.  The pin must be inserted perpendicular to the hole to avoid damaging it. This hole is located on top of the phone.
  4. Put the SIM card to the SIM card tray. Make sure that the gold contacts are facing down.
  5. Insert the SIM card tray back to the phone. Lock the tray properly by pressing in on it.
  6. Turn on your iPhone XS and see if it now detects your network.
