Related Problem: My iPhone X was at 2% last night and my charger broke the same night, I borrowed my brothers charger for the night. When I plugged the charger into my iPhone the little logo telling me my phone is charging was not there and my phone eventually died when I kept taking the charger out and putting it back in to see if that would work. When my phone died, the battery logo showed up and it was telling me that it was charging so i left it to charge overnight. This morning when I woke up I checked my phone and it was pitch black and nothing was happening, I held the power button and home button at the same time for about 30 seconds and nothing was happening. I left it to charge for another hour and I get back to it and nothing was happening again. Any advice?

Related Problem: The phone worked fine. left phone with about 65% battery life overnight. woke up to find the iphone dead and being trying to charge it but no response from the phone.i changed cables charging ports.i used wall charger and usb charging but to help.i tried force restart but no response or signal that it’s working. tried connecting to cpu with itunes but cpu does not detect phone as it seems like the phone is completely dead and not charging.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. Connect the phone to its wall charger and let it charge for at least an hour. Normally, you will see the charging indicator on the phone screen. If you don’t see the charging screen then try cleaning the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. You should also try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge your phone.

Once the phone has sufficient charge try doing a force restart.

  • Press the Volume Up button (on the left side of the device) and quickly let go.
  • Press the Volume Down button (on the left side of the device) and quickly let go.
  • Hold down the Side Button (on the right side of the device).
  • You should eventually see the Apple logo appear. You can then let go of the Side button.
  • Your device should restart as normal.

If a force restart does not work then try connecting your phone to iTunes and if it is detected then you will be able to backup your phone data and do a system restore.

  • Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
  • Connect your iPhone X to your computer with the cable that came with your device.
  • If a message asks for your device passcode or to Trust This Computer, follow the onscreen steps.
  • Select your iPhone X when it appears in iTunes.
  • In the Summary panel, click Restore
  • Click Restore again to confirm. Then iTunes erases your device and installs the latest iOS  software
  • After your device restores to factory settings, it restarts. Now you can set it up as new.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
