iPhone 7 Plus Constantly Freezes

Problem: Phone is constantly freezing up and then shut off or screen will go black. Sometimes it can can take hours before I can get it to reboot and come back on to use phone again. Usually when it comes back on it does not stay on long before it freezes and goes off again. I’m currently updated to the 11.2.2 version.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to perform a soft reset.

  • Press and hold the Power button.
  • Continue to hold the Power button and press and hold the Volume down button located on the left side of your iPhone.
  • Hold both buttons as the iPhone powers off and back on; release both buttons when the Apple logo appears on the screen.

If the phone still freezes after this then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Do not install any apps first after the reset. Try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

iPhone 7 Turns Off Randomly Not Turning Back On

Problem: Hi, My iphone 7+ suddenly just turned off while I was listening to music outside for lunch, and out of the ordinary the phone heated up (I dunno if its because the hot weather in Australia or Apps malfunction). It has been over than 5 hours and the phone still cannot be turn on. I’ve try the solutions offered on the website such as hard reboot, then charging but it still wont turn on. Can you please advise me on what to do. Is it the issue with the battery? NB: My phone screen was replaced around a month ago. I dunno if that’s help

Related Problem: My phone was charging at night and I happened to wake up to check my phone and noticed that it was really hot,so hot that I could barely hold it. So I unplugged it for the rest of the night and when I tried to get on it in the morning it wouldn’t even come on. What do I do?

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air then charge the phone for at least 20 minutes. If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the phone still does not turn on then this could already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
