iPhone 7 Plus Stopped Charging
Problem: My iPhone 7 Plus is suddenly stopped charging, although it kept functioning normal till the battery completely died. I thought it was the cable I was using on the road and when I get home it would charge normal but when I got home and plugged in the charger the charger connection logo showed up but no charging occurred. Any idea what to do?
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is free from any dirt or debris. Clean this port using a can of compressed air. You should also try using a different lightning cord and wall charger to charge your phone. Leave the phone charging for at least 30 minutes.
If the issue persists then force restart the phone by pressing and holding both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. Charge the phone again for another 30 minutes.
If the issue persists then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 7 Plus Is Unresponsive
Problem: went to bed with my phone charging when i woke up i got a call and talked with the person before falling back asleep with my phone still charging. about 3 hours later i woke up to find my phone unresponsive. no apple symbol not turning on no charging needed symbol just black screen and the home button doesn’t make the vibration when i tap it.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to do a force restart by pressing and holding both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the phone remains unresponsive then proceed with the following troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Charge the phone for at least 30 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- Do another force restart.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 7 Plus Not Connecting To Network
Problem: I purchased an iPhone 7Plus for my daughter in April. After 20+ years and numerous issues with AT&T last Saturday we made the switch to Verizon. It has been six days. One and a half hours on the phone with Verizon customer service, no solution. Thirty minutes on the phone with AT&T, no solution. A visit to the Apple store for a Genius Bar appointment. They replaced the phone due to internal issues, but no solutions for the inability to connect issue. Three requests to “unlock” the phone (yes, it is unlocked) Back to the Verizon store last night, still no solution. Back to AT&T, not motivated at all to help and didn’t offer me any solutions (hence the reason why I left. Verizon has been extremely apologetic) Finally, back to Verizon. A gentleman there finally received a message which as he explained to me……”There have been some issues with iPhone 7 and 7 plus. When purchased from another carrier such as AT&T a GSM carrier and taken to Verizon a CDMA carrier they will not connect. Apple is aware of the issue. It began with the IOS 10 update ands later resolved in another update but some are still having the issue. We are at our wits end and do not want to return to AT&T. I have another appt with the Genius Bar today to plead with them to swap the phone out for a CDMA version but, would welcome any help!!
Solution: I would recommend that you restore your phone as a new device. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this. Once this is done make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update. You should also make sure to update the phone carrier settings. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, you’ll see an option to update your carrier settings.
