If you don’t want to be disturb by anyone while you’re at work or doing something very important, you can set your iPhone to block all calls from coming in. To do so, just turn on Do Not Disturb on your iPhone 8 Plus and configure necessary options. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Tap Settings from the Home screen.
  2. Tap Do Not Disturb.
  3. On the next menu, you will be prompted with different options.

  2. To manage blocked numbers and contacts on the Messages app, head to Settings-> Messages-> Blocked. Then select the contact you want to edit.

Phone numbers or contacts that are listed in the blocked list can still leave a voicemail to your number but you won’t get an alert or notification. Messages will not be delivered. The contact will also not get any notification that the call or message was blocked.

How to unblock calls/contacts on your iPhone 8 Plus

If you change your mind and wish to unblock a contact on your blocked list, follow these steps:

  1. Tap Settings from the Home screen.
  2. Tap Phone to launch the app.
  3. Tap Call Blocking & Identification.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Tap the Unblock option to confirm action.

Use and manage Call Forwarding (Conditional/Unconditional) on your iPhone 8 Plus

  • Some calls may not be forwarded especially if you are already out of range of the cellular network. If you don’t want to use Call Forwarding any more, you can turn it off by toggling the Call Forwarding switch to OFF.

Use and manage Caller ID on your iPhone 8 Plus

One of the calling features of your new iPhone is called Caller ID or caller identification. When enabled, your number will be shown at the receiving end when you make a call. Your number will only be hidden when you make voice calls but not when you send messages. Here’s how to activate and use this feature on your iPhone 8 Plus:
