iPhone 6S Plus Screen Flickers Goes Black

Problem: Screen was cracked for month, maybe a year. Never had any issues. Then i decided to change my 6S plus screen. Changed it and 2 days past by and all is good. Purchased a new case and within 2 hours my phone would flicker and screen goes black. Screen wasn’t completely black but rather as a bluish color as if a light was behind the black screen. All i had to do is press the home button a few times and back on goes the phone. This keeps happening every 10 minutes and mostly when i’m on the home screen or when i try to open up an app. I don’t know if the new case had something to do with it or the changing of the screen because when the screen was broke it never did what it’s doing not even once.

Solution: The pressure that the case is exerting on the display might be causing this problem. Try removing the case the check if the issue still occurs. If the issue still occurs even with the case removed then the next step is to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing this issue. By following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update.
  • Backup your phone data then restore your phone and set it up as a new device. Once this is done do not install any app yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then this is either caused by a loose connection between the display and the phone motherboard or the display assembly itself could be faulty. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

iPhone 6S Plus White Shadow On Display

Problem: Good Day! My iphone 6s plus lcd was accidentally broken. I decided to replaced iit here in saudi arabia where I worked. But unfortunately I didn’t bring it to authorized apple service center because it will take 10 days before it will be finished. When a saudi guy first opened it the touchscreen is working well when he tried to fix the new lcd ,touch is not working anymore then i transferred it to other technician. 2 of them told me that the IC have to be replaced because maybe when the first time it is opened the battery is not removed before changing lcd. But the technician who change the new LCD told me it’s not the IC.There is something on the upper right side was pressed firmly that’s why the touch is not working. He did it with an extra charge of $100. after the replacement of LCD i noticed that there is a white shadow on the upper right side of my screen but noticeable only if the background is black. He told me it’s normal as long as it is working because the LCD is only a replacement. He didn’t want to change the LCD anymore. I don’t know if it is normal for a replacement LCD since i also bought the LCD $100. Thank you. I hope you can give a good advised.

Solution: Since you are using a replacement display then chances are its quality is not as good as the Apple display. Sometimes you will get a replacement display that works well but sometimes you will also get one that has issues such as the white shadow that’s appearing on the device. Usually in this case there would be a warranty on the replacement display where you could have it replaced if it has any issues. If it does not have any warranty and you want the issue to disappear then I recommend bringing the phone to an official service center.

iPhone 6S Plus Replacement Screen Very Sensitive

Problem: I’ve done multiple screen replacements on Iphones.  But my first time with 6s Plus. I replaced screen and digitizer. And right away it didn’t want to power on, after a few minutes it did.  All seemed fine but once I started typing it would act weird. for Ex. if I wrote ” how was your day” my phone would put in doubles. and it would read like ” hhow. wwass yoourr. dday” its super sensitive but only when I type fast. plus it opens apps and watching videos is impossible without it skipping or changing the video. I did open it back up like this link recommended (http://www.ikream.com/2016/01/iphone-6-plus-screen-very-sensitive-after-replacement-23812) but it still didn’t work. and ended up breaking the new screen trying to remove it. Question! would a new metal heat plate make any difference?

Solution: You should definitely try using a different metal plate. Since the screen got broken when you removed it you should also try to use a new display assembly on the phone.

iPhone 6S Plus Replacement Screen Not Working

Problem: i replaced my screen and the new screen i put in will not work? the connectors isn’t torn or damaged , what may the issue be the phone screen will not come on? i can call the phone also and it will ring but no screen.

Solution: If the connectors are all correct then the problem could be caused by the replacement screen itself. Try getting another display assembly then check if this fixes the problem.
